Education: 

Adri was awarded a Telkom bursary in 1997 and completed her N6 Diploma at Cape Town Technical College in Light Current Electrical Engineering in 1998

Work experience: 

In 1999 Adri received a permanent appointment as a Transmission specialist at Telkom because of her dedication and commitment to her work. Telkom afforded her exposure in single line, business systems, unit installations and call center environment. 

In 2005 she was head-hunted and moved to Vodacom. Here she occupied various positions from specialist, senior specialist, and manager. Her knowledge stretches from home telephone, business voice systems, node installation, overhead cable, underground fiber network, contract overview, escalation management, network configuration from network built, services configuration and network architecture design. 

In her position she is the liaison between various parties for network re-design on Transmission and Microwave network for Vodacom SA. Aligning with engineering on processes that all parties adhering to low level and high-level design of the network. 

As one of the first female of colour in this male dominant environment it wasn’t easy. She had to learn fast and adapt quickly but she was blessed having brilliant men in her life who believed and guided her along the way.

Other interests:                                             

Recently Adri and her husband ventured into the property development space as they view the future of the mobile communication environment as uncertain. Their property portfolio includes rentals and have formed partnerships with partners to build to sell.
