An investment committee comprising three directors have been established. They have skills and expertise in investments, corporate finance, law, and management. The committee act as custodian and administer the investment portfolio of Cape Equity and performs the following functions:
Manage the investments of Cape Equity.
The company has a fixed term call account to attract the best returns in the market. The committee will examine options with the highest returns for the company. The committee will not invest more than 20% of available funds in fixed term investments.
The committee will purchase shares on the Equity Market.
The funds invested will be limited to 20% of available funds subject to board approval.
Share performance will be monitored.
The company will make opportunistic investments with limited risks in strategic companies subject to a comprehensive due diligence and approval by the board.
The committee will search for opportunities where shareholding can be acquired in listed and unlisted companies. These deals may involve leveraged buyouts of a long-term nature. Revenue will be derived from dividends.
There are SME's with short-term cashflow problems who may require short-term finance. Cape Equity may jointly provide funding with other financial institutions. Funds provided from Cape Equity will not exceed 40% of funds available.
Investments will range from 3 -5 years depending on the nature of the business. Investments will be handled on a deal-by-deal basis. Cape Equity will not sign surety for any of the portfolio companies.
We will engage in business turnarounds and offer business expertise and management advise including legal support to portfolio companies in exchange for a monthly management fee. Highly skilled business advisors from the shareholder base with appropriate business acumen will be nominated to serve on the board of subsidiaries.

Cape Equity has actively pursued business opportunities since inception with some success as set out below.
CPG Pty Ltd
In November 2022, Cape Equity concluded a Joint Venture Company to establish CPG Risk Solutions. This joint venture served as entry into the Financial Services Sector. CPG Risk Solutions is a private company jointly owned by Cape Equity Investments, Phoenix Risk Solutions and Giovanni Accom. Cape Equity owns 24.5% of the share equity of the Joint Venture.
In partnership with Phoenix Risk Solutions, CPG has well-established relationships with all major insurance companies and underwriters.
Tekco Packaging Pty Ltd
In June 2024 Cape Equity acquired 13% of the entire share equity of Tekco Packaging (TekcoPac).
TekcoPac is a family-owned business that was established in 2005 by two brothers to service the wine and agriculture industry with quality packaging solutions.
Today, TekcoPac is the proud employer of almost 80 employees, with a manufacturing plant and sales office situated in Robertson and Cape Town. Although TekcoPac still focus on the wine industry, it has an ever-increasing product range to service other industries including fruit, olive & health products.
